Fall Research Showcase 2023 and zoom talks with the Ukrainian filmmakers
FMS 177 group participated in the Fall Research Showcase and the First-Year Student Celebration on the 7th of December 2023 in Burge Union with a variety of activities: two group research posters, several in-person speeches and short feature films.

Fall Research Showcase 2023 and zoom talks with the Ukrainian filmmakers
FMS 177 group participated in the Fall Research Showcase and the First-Year Student Celebration on the 7th of December 2023 in Burge Union with a variety of activities: two group research posters, several in-person speeches and short feature films.
FMS 177 Group also held a series of zoom meetings with Ukrainian filmmakers moderated by the FYS instructor Dr Olga Kyrylova. A talk with Kateryna Gornostai from Kyiv (11 Nov) followed her full-length teen movie Stop-Earth (2021). David Gutnik connected from New York on the 16th of November to discuss his recent documentary The Rule of Two Walls (2023) portraying internally displaced Ukrainians, artists and musicians, since Russia's full-scale invasion.
